Mosaica Capability
and Experience In HIV/AIDS Services
Since its inception in 1994, Mosaica has been deeply involved in
professional consultation related to HIV/AIDS prevention and care,
including national and regional training and technical assistance,
materials development, organizational assistance to AIDS prevention
and care providers and to HIV/AIDS planning groups, needs
assessment, and other research, policy analysis, and evaluation.
Mosaica is committed to helping nonprofit organizations, government
agencies, the private sector, and individuals to prevent the spread
of HIV and to ensure the availability of accessible, appropriate
care to persons with HIV/AIDS. The organization’s multicultural
focus and staffing enable it to work effectively with diverse
communities and populations, and it has special relationships and
capability in working with communities of color.
Mosaica has carried out HIV/AIDS assignments at the request of
federal agencies, community-based organizations (CBOs), HIV/AIDS
planning bodies, health departments, and other HIV/AIDS service
providers. Client agencies include the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC); HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), Health Resources and
Services Administration (HRSA); Office of HIV/AIDS Policy (OHAP) and
Office of Minority Health (OMH) within the Office of the Secretary,
Department of Health and Human Services; Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration (SAMHSA); and national, state, and
local grantees and service providers. Examples of these assignments
