Special expertise is in the management and governance of nonprofit organizations and in program evaluation design and implementation. Twenty-five years of experience working in nonprofit and educational settings, and particular expertise in working with communities of color. Directs several Mosaica evaluations, including a demonstration re-entry program for women released from prison, the District of Columbia’s pilot female condom education and distribution initiative, and a leadership program run by the Non-Profit Roundtable. Manages a national evaluation for the Community Learning Partnership initiative to help community colleges establish Community Change degree programs; evaluation focuses on three major components: curriculum development, establishment of a web-based resource center, and implementation of a training institute – all funded by the federal Fund for the Improvement of Higher Education (FIPSE). Member of the team evaluating an innovative Community Voices initiative of the Ms. Foundation for Women. Also participating in the team providing strategic planning assistance to the National Latino Children’s Institute (NLCI).
